Getting Started with KYSA
Last modified: 18 August, 2026
Welcome to KYSA. This guide is designed to help members, athletes, families, supporters, and community members understand how to use our website and access key services.
1. Create Your Account & Manage Your Profile
Create a KYSA account to access member features, manage your profile, view your donation history, and participate in selected programs and services.
After signing in, you can update your personal information, profile photo, contact details, preferred language, and the name you would like displayed on donor lists. Go to My Account page.
2. Submit Athlete News
Have an achievement, competition result, upcoming tournament, training update, or community story you would like to share?
Members can submit athlete-related news to KYSA for review. This may include competition results, awards, tournament participation, training milestones, selection announcements, or other relevant updates.
When submitting news, please provide:
- Athlete name
- Sport
- News title
- Date and location
- Short description
- Relevant photos
- Competition or event details, if applicable
All submissions are reviewed by KYSA before being published.
3. Apply for a Young Athlete Fundraising Campaign
KYSA provides fundraising opportunities to support junior athletes with training, competitions, equipment, travel, and other development opportunities.
As KYSA supports underage youth athletes, all fundraising campaign applications must be submitted or authorised by a parent or legal guardian.
Campaign applications may require:
- Athlete name and sport
- Athlete profile and background
- Training and competition goals
- Fundraising goal
- Intended use of donations
- Profile and training photos
- Upcoming competitions or development plans
- Parent or legal guardian details and consent
All campaign applications are reviewed by KYSA before publication.
4. Make a Donation
Support a young athlete or KYSA program directly through our website.
You can choose between a one-time donation or, where available, a recurring monthly donation.
After completing your donation, registered members can view their donation history through their KYSA account.
To ensure your donation appears in your donation history, you must use the same email address that is registered to your KYSA member account when making the donation. Donations made using a different email address may not be linked to your account and may not appear in your donation history.
If you choose to have your name displayed publicly, the donor name selected in your profile may be shown on relevant donor lists. Anonymous donation options may also be available.
5. View Donation Reports & Impact Updates
KYSA is committed to transparency and responsible use of donations.
Donation reports and campaign updates may be published regularly so supporters can see how funds are being raised and how athlete support is progressing.
These updates may include:
- Monthly donation summaries
- Campaign progress
- Athlete updates
- Training and competition outcomes
- Information about how donations are being used
6. Register or Update a Junior Athlete Profile
Athlete profiles help introduce young athletes to the KYSA community and highlight their sporting journey, achievements, and goals.
As all KYSA athlete profiles relate to underage youth athletes, profile registration and publication must be authorised by a parent or legal guardian.
A profile may include:
- Athlete name
- Sport
- Biography
- Competition history
- Achievements
- Goals
- Photos
- Related news and fundraising campaigns
A parent or legal guardian may request updates when an athlete achieves a new result, changes teams, enters a new competition, or reaches an important milestone.
7. Events & Competition Participation
KYSA may organise or promote sports events, competitions, training sessions, seminars, camps, and community activities for junior athletes.
Because participants are underage, parent or legal guardian consent may be required for registrations, travel, photography, participation, or other event-related activities.
Event information may include:
- Date and location
- Eligibility
- Registration deadline
- Participation fees
- Required documents
- Parent or legal guardian consent requirements
Please review all participation requirements carefully before registering.
8. Volunteer or Become a Mentor
There are many ways to support the KYSA community beyond donations.
Members of the community may apply to assist as volunteers, mentors, coaches, event helpers, or professionals who can support young athletes.
Experience in sport is welcome but is not always required.
9. Photos, Privacy & Guardian Consent
KYSA takes the privacy and safety of junior athletes seriously.
Athlete profiles, news articles, fundraising campaigns, competition updates, and event coverage may include photographs, videos, sporting achievements, and limited personal information.
Because KYSA athletes are underage, appropriate parent or legal guardian consent must be obtained before personal information, images, videos, or athlete stories are published.
KYSA will aim to publish only information that is appropriate and necessary for the relevant program, campaign, news article, or athlete profile.
Parents or legal guardians may contact KYSA to request that published information be corrected, updated, reviewed, or removed.
